Our fully trained electricians in London are ready to get your new electric cooker set up and installed for £130 + VAT per appliance. We’ll even disconnect your old cooker for you. We’re approved by the NICEIC (National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting), one of the UK’s best electrical assessors, so you know we set high standards. Our Installation Process
- Disconnect and Unpack: Our NICEIC electricians in London will disconnect your old cooker and unpack your new one.
- Necessary Equipment: We’ll bring everything we need to get your new cooker installed.
- Safety and Stability: We’ll attach a safety chain if applicable and make sure the cooker is level.
- Commercial Properties: Installation is available at commercial properties if the voltage is the same as domestic properties (220-240v).
- Documentation: We’ll take at least 8 pictures during installation for our records.
- Functionality Test: We’ll test the cooking appliance in front of you to prove that it works and will not leave until you're happy with the install.
What You Need to Do
- Hot Zone Clearance: Ensure the space around your hob (the Hot Zone) has no switches or cooker hood above it. There should be a gap of at least 65cm between your hob and the cooker hood or ceiling.
- Electrical Connection: Ensure your current electrical connection (plug socket or big red switch) matches what your new cooker needs.
- Above 3kw: Requires a 16Amp or 32Amp fuse (a big red switch).
- Below 3kw: Requires a standard 13Amp fuse (a regular plug socket).
- Switching from Gas to Electric: Let us know if you’re switching from a gas cooker to a new electric cooker. You will need to contact a gas engineer to disconnect the gas supply first.
- Dimensions Check: Check the dimensions of your new cooker to ensure you have enough space in your kitchen.
What We Don’t Cover
Hot Zone Adjustments: We can make small adjustments like changing cables to fit your cooker, but we won’t remove anything within the Hot Zone or change any other part of your home.
Availability: Installation for cooking products is only available on certain days in certain postcodes. Check our booking system for available dates.
